Live Control* is a small and useful application which allows to control the selected microphone with a touch display.
The supplied MIDI file contains two sequences, one for a touch-sensitive device (controller) and another for a dedicated MIDI controller. Each sequence starts with a MIDI clock and has to be played back using the included MIDI transport (DJ-RT, your choice).
* Live Control is a logic-based application which only generates MIDI signals for controllers. This means that you do not have to use any additional MIDI transport to generate MIDI clock signals. This functionality is implemented by generating MIDI sync information and then direct syncing of the controller, instead of using the MIDI transport.
To trigger a touch display as a MIDI controller, use the transport on your device.
Please note that MIDI clock information is required in order to generate proper MIDI signals and trigger the touch display.
Live Control is a sample-based application for iOS and the Arduino open-source microcontroller platform. The Arduino platform is a low-cost, open-source development board with a microprocessor and various input/output ports for the connection of sensors, displays, and actuators.
It is easy to develop on-screen touch controls for any microcontroller using Live Control and doesn’t require any additional microcontroller hardware.
